I was in the second group.
I believed that being shy was my character. I watched opportunities pass me by because I was too afraid to speak up—in the classroom, on a stage, and most painfully, in job interviews. My wife’s story was the same. We were the “bright(unaware) but quiet” ones, full of ideas but trapped behind a wall of fear.
The world told us, “That’s just who you are.”
It wasn’t until a deep crisis in my business forced me to find a solution, that I discovered the truth…

I can’t do that.
